Corgis

The Queen is often associated with her love of Corgis, supposedly owning over 30 Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs during her reign. They were also owned by her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Dorgis

A Dorgi — a cross between a Dachshund and Welsh Corgi – started when one of the Queen's Corgis mated with a Dachshund. Loyal, friendly and intelligent, these pups are incredibly sweet.

Cocker Spaniel

Lupo was an English Cocker Spaniel owned by Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. He sadly passed away in November 2020 after many happy years with the family.

More recently, the Queen was also given a Cocker Spaniel named Lissy, proving that her love for dogs goes far beyond her adored Corgis.

King Charles Spaniel

Princess Margaret wanted something different than the Corgis so loved by her sister, so she got her own King Charles Spaniel named Rowley.

Jack Russell Terrier

Prince Charles is a longtime owner of Jack Russell terriers, loving the breed for many years. As well as having them when he was growing up, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have two adorable rescue Jack Russell Terriers named Bluebell and Beth.

Labrador Retrievers

King George VI owned a number of Labradors as gun dogs and pets. According to Royal.uk, he was particularly fond of yellow Labradors, which were still relatively uncommon in the early twentieth century.
